Well Spotted

The plane spotting app

Spot rare planes at your airport.

Most days it's the same old 737s. Well Spotted finds the ones worth the trip to the fence, before they land.

Good to know.

How does Well Spotted decide what's rare?

Each flight is weighed against a year of real flights at that airport: how often its airline, its aircraft type and its route come here, and whether this aircraft has been before. Tap a flight in the app to see why.

Is it free?

Yes: today and tomorrow at one airport of your choice, which you can change any time, with no ads and no sign-in. Well Spotted Pro adds the whole week ahead, multiple airports and reminders before a flight, monthly or yearly.

Where does the data come from?

Schedules from AeroDataBox, a year of flight history from the volunteer ADS-B receivers of ADSB.lol (© ADSB.lol contributors, ODbL), and weather from MET Norway and NOAA. Schedules change and aircraft get swapped, so a rare flight is a strong hint, not a promise.
